After the infection was treated, she underwent a vitrectomy. One month later she developed a retinal detachment. After delivering a healthy baby, she again developed a new MRSA abscess which again was aggressively treated. She has subsequently lost nearly all of her vision in that eye. Currently she continues to have fairly severe retro-orbital pain, worse as the day wears on, with more eye activity. I am wondering how I might best approach this pain problem. Her ophthamologist cannot explain why she should have pain at this point, and has sent her to our Pain Clinic. Just this last week, I had a patient with pain in groin area for one year. I did a treatment on her and next week she told me she gave up her gain and was pain free for the first time in a year!
